This month the Law Society has launched a conveyancing quality scheme designed to provide clients with a recognisable brand for law firms providing a high standard of service.
The new Law Society scheme is based upon the Law Society Transaction Protocol which was introduced to speed up the conveyancing process by eliciting as much information as possible from the seller at the outset.
The intention is for the kitemark to be awarded in January 2011 and for it to recognise high quality conveyancing practices.
Law Society President Linda Lee said: “The conveyancing quality scheme will give homebuyers an instantly recognisable kitemark highlighting a firm’s professional excellence and their commitment to providing a high quality service. The accreditation will allow consumers to identify quality conveyancing practices in a crowded and sometimes confusing market”.
Attwells Solicitors LLP as one of the leading firm’s undertaking conveyancing in London and East Anglia are in the process of making an application for this kitemark. If you want any more information on the conveyancing quality scheme please do not hesitate to contact Attwells Conveyancing Partner
